About
Living and working near Poole Park in the Poole Council area (see photo of red phone boxes – they can be found between Cafe ‘The Ark’ and ‘The Kitchen’ ) I’ve gained a lot of experience of which plants do well in various conditions and of selecting coastal plants which can withstand wind swept, sandy and salty conditions. I also specialise on cat and dog friendly gardens and avoid to toxic plants. Please read on.
Transforming Coastal Gardens in Poole
As a fully qualified RHS Level 3 horticulturist & designer, I specialize in bringing out the best in local gardens. Coastal environments come with unique challenges—like wind and salt—but I know exactly which plants will thrive in our specific microclimate.
How I Help Your Garden Thrive
-
Refreshing Mature Spaces: My clients love how I introduce unusual, “transitional” planting combinations to breathe new life into established, mature borders.
-
Photorealistic Planting Plans: See the future of your garden before we dig. My visual designs are highly accurate to how your shrubs, trees, and bulbs will actually look as they grow.
-
Dedicated Summer Watering & Fertilising: Protect your investment. I offer a specialized summer watering & fertilising service to ensure your plants get exactly what they need—avoiding the overwatering of automated irrigation systems that often just invite slugs & snails!
- Bulb & Plant Plannting Schemes for Successional Blooming: Get your plants spiced up by adding a compilation of suitable bulbs that will provide various colours throughout 2 specific seasons or throughout the whole year.
- Butterfly & Bee Friendly Planting Schemes: I create a heaven of butterfly and bee friendly plants & bulbs in your garden to lure an array of various butterflies and bees in your garden that can feed & breed in your garden.
The “Right Plant, Right Place” Philosophy
With almost 8 years of experience, my approach is rooted in observation. I carefully assess your garden’s exact conditions & aspect before planning & sourcing the perfect plants from my trusted network of local and regional nurseries.
By constantly keeping my eyes open for new inspiration—from visiting RHS exhibitions, botanical gardens, exhibitions to the shores of Lake Garda—I bring fresh, beautiful, and resilient designs straight to your front and back garden.
Apart from optimising and designing my client’s gardens, I enjoy swimming and taking photographs.
